As part of Community Service Day, we partnered with a number of community organizations, with students volunteering all across the city.
This year, we wanted to highlight CancerCare Manitoba, a not-for-profit organization doing important work in our community.
Our music department joined in that effort through their performance of “Wave of Light” a piece written by Peter Meechan and comissioned by the Manitoba Band Association, created as a message of hope for cancer care patients and their families.
Ten percent of this year’s Community Service Day Fundraiser will go directly to CancerCare Manitoba.
