Athletics

The athletics program is found in three categories: Physical Education classes, Intramural sports, and Inter-school sports. A blend of these three categories will enable every student to have the opportunity to participate in athletics and stay fit.

To benefit from the material prepared and presented in Phys Ed class, students need to actively participate. Students need to come to Phys Ed class with appropriate apparel for activity. If a student needs to be excused from class due to illness or injury, a note from the parents/guardians should be given to the teacher before class begins.

Senior high students are welcome to make use of our fitness room. In order to do so, they will need to check with phys ed staff and follow all the fitness room rules and regulations.

Interschool team options include the following: Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Track and Field, Ultimate, Curling (grades 9-12), Soccer (grades 9-12), and Golf (grades 9-12).

In grades 6 to 8, all students may participate if they choose to commit. The only tryout is for the badminton team. All players who attend practices will receive equal playing time in league play and exhibition tournaments. In the league championships, players will receive playing time based on the objective of fielding the most competitive team possible.
