Learning Support Teachers (LST) oversee the learning support program.
The main roles of LSTs are:
- to identify, monitor and assess progress, and program for students with additional needs
in collaboration with the student, classroom teacher(s), parents/guardians, educational
assistant(s), administration and clinicians when necessary. - to develop Student Specific Plans (SSP) and support teachers with implementation.
- to support the classroom teachers in meeting the needs of all students, particularly in the areas of Universal design and differentiated instruction.
Confidentiality
Strict confidentiality is maintained and the only people with access to student files are the professionals who work with the student.
