Growing up in northern Germany, Susanne developed a love for working with children early on, leading her to train as an Early Childhood Educator after high school. She began her career as a puppeteer and then teaching 3-6 year olds in a Kindergarten in northern Germany before moving to Winnipeg in 2000 to pursue further education at the University of Manitoba. During this time, she married and embraced opportunities to teach abroad, living and teaching in both Thailand and Germany. Upon returning to Winnipeg, Susanne focused on building her family while continuing her passion for education. She worked as an additional support teacher in a Montessori school and taught German at the local Saturday school for over 10 years. In Spring 2025, she proudly graduated as a certified teacher here in Manitoba, with a bachelor of arts, majoring in German and English, and a bachelor of Education. Outside of her professional life, Susanne enjoys spending time with her husband Warren and three children, camping and exploring the outdoors, swimming, reading, and engaging in textile and fibre arts. She also loves baking, finding it a creative and rewarding way to share joy with her family. Susanne and her family attend Fort Garry EMC.
