Krista Neustaedter Barg has long been connected to Westgate. As an alumnus, a teacher and parent of 2 Westgaters, she is a dedicated member of the Westgate community. Krista studied at Canadian Mennonite Bible College and the University of Manitoba where she earned Bachelors of Theology and Education degrees. Her time at CMBC was life shaping in terms of her friendships, faith development, world view and outlook on life. She joined the Westgate staff on a term in 1993 and has been here ever since. Krista thoroughly enjoys hanging out with young people in classes, the bleachers, around campfires and in cafes around the world. She has taught in the areas of Language Arts, Social Studies and Keyboarding, German and Christian Studies, and feels honoured to walk alongside students as they carve out their path on their journey with God. Krista is married to Darryl. Together they enjoy spending time outdoors and soaking in God's goodness in creation. Krista is passionate about peace issues and delights in sharing God's goodness and love with others. She is inspired by God's invitation found in 1 John 4: 7. "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God."
