Jennifer studied Education at the University of Winnipeg. She began her teaching career at Glenlawn Collegiate in 1997 and is happy to have been at Westgate since 1999. Jennifer has been actively involved in coaching and managing basketball for over 30 years. She was manager of the University of Winnipeg women's team from 1992-1996 which captured 3 consecutive National Championships and tied a North American record for consecutive victories. She is a member of the Canada Basketball and Manitoba Basketball Halls of Fame and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. Jennifer is the varsity girls basketball and has coached just about every sport at Westgate in her time and plays an integral role in the running of the athletic department. In her precious free time, she enjoys golf, traveling and baking. Jennifer is married to Jason Caners. Together they attend Sargent Ave Mennonite Church.
