In our Advent chapels this year we listened to the story Christmas Presents by Stuart McLean. Through this funny and heartwarming tale we explored how difficult it can be to wait, to sit in darkness knowing that light will be there soon. We also talked about hard work, and how things rarely go as planned. In our third chapel we discussed the importance of accepting help and giving up control. We concluded by thinking about gifts. That gift giving is a way to show our love for one another, and that maybe giving a gift is more important than receiving one.
