Westgate Mennonite Collegiate invites applications for the position of Development Coordinator. This position will be between 0.5 and 0.8 FTE.
The Development Coordinator provides support to the school’s recruitment efforts and alumni relations. Working closely with staff and committees, the Development Coordinator is responsible for organizing recruitment events and managing communications related to these initiatives. Additional responsibilities include connecting with alumni to plan reunions, maintaining detailed records using Raiser’s Edge, and representing Westgate in the community, including the supporting churches. The Development Coordinator will also assist with special projects and provide support to the Community Relations Coordinator in fundraising and event planning.
The ideal candidate would be welcoming and outgoing, with strong data entry skills. While experience with Raiser’s Edge is an asset, training can be provided. They should have the ability to work collaboratively, think creatively, and be self-motivated to build connections within the Westgate community. Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. Experience in the non-profit sector is an asset.
