On Sunday, November 19, 2017 the Westgate Capital Campaign Committee held an event to celebrate our return to 86 West Gate! Following a pre-concert reception with appetizers and wine tasting, the auditorium was filled with beautiful music from Gwen Hoebig (Concertmaster WSO), Karl Stobbe (Associate Concertmaster WSO, Concertmaster MCO), Daniel Scholz (Principal viola WSO and MCO), Andrea Bell (Conductor WYO, Westgate Strings Instructor, cellist), David Moroz (Professor U of M, pianist) and their children along with the Westgate Strings. A big thank you to all these individuals who donated their talents to make the evening a great success.
On Thursday, October 5 the Westgate gym played host to Alexander Mickelthwaite and members of the WSO. Our school was treated to a fun and inspiring afternoon of interactive music making. Thank you to all the WSO members who work to inspire and educate us with their talents and hard work.
